At Glacier Montessori we believe in the importance to not only be exposed to English and Spanish verbally but also to learn bilingual literacy. We have a unique kindergarten reading program that is run with volunteers that speak and read Spanish and English. The two women who have made this program flourish are both retired reading specialists from the public school system and have designed a program for children to be successful in literacy and learn to love reading.

The children practice reading with the adults one on one for 30-40 minutes a week and then are sent home with reading materials to practice at home reading with parents. When children are done with their assigned books and want new ones they can then stop by our bilingual library, where the children may pick books to take home for the week. Providing fresh and fun books for children of all reading levels.
